The guest bedroom lies at the far east end of the house. The north and east walls include a built-in shelf as a result of the foundation wall included therein. The north side of the first floor is buried into the ground approximately five feet. This earth contact design keeps the room temperature roughly around 72 degrees year round. This room is painted a deep dark blue with a nine foot ceiling painted a brilliant white. This combination gives it a very cool and soothing atmosphere. It has a small built-in closet with a sliding pocket door and television governor. By code the guest bedroom has its own private exterior door and two pocket doors accessing the both the guest bathroom and the dining room.
